CONVERGE SAYS SERVICES TO BE FULLY RESTORED BY 12 NOON, JUNE 17

Internet provider Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions Inc. on Monday said it is working to restore its services by 12 noon on Monday, June 17, as its users may have experienced connectivity issues starting earlier in the day.

In an advisory, Converge said its customers may have started to experience the issues at 9 a.m., but the issue has been addressed. It did not provide further information on the cause.

“We have addressed the issue, and our services are being restored. We expect full recovery of your internet connectivity by 12 noon today. A service ticket is not required,” the advisory read.

The company said users who continue to experience connectivity issues after 12 noon should try to reboot their modem and do simple troubleshooting, and send a message to its support team should the issues persist.

Converge offers fixed broadband internet services to residential and enterprise customers, under the brands “FiberX,” “FiberXtreme,” flexiBiz,” and “Air Internet.” It also provides data network solutions, cloud and colocation services, and other connectivity solutions.

The company reported 2,252,845 subscribers as of end-March 2024, comprised of 2,091,897 million postpaid subscribers and 160,948 prepaid subscribers. It earlier said it targets to reach over 15 million Philippine households by 2025.

Converge opened the year with a P2.552-billion profit after income tax, reflecting a 17% growth from the P2.172 billion in the same period of 2023.
